Piano Accompanist
Have you ever wondered how you could benefit from a good piano accompanist? Why not just give the rehearsals a miss and play a recording during the exam?
A proper accompanist would not simply play what's on the score but provide advice on the musical interpretation and offer recommendations on how to improve the cohesiveness of the performer/accompanist ensemble.
Chloe is a piano accompanist with a wealth of experience in performing, navigating different examination standards (including AMEB and Music Scholarship), as well as accompanying violinists, violists, cellists, trumpeters, flautists, singers, small ensembles and even other pianists for their concerto. She works closely with the performer to improve their engagement with the music and strengthen their personal interpretation of their repertoire.
Fees will be determined by the number of pieces, difficulty of the accompaniment, performance length and the time required prior to the exam. It is recommended that there is at least one rehearsal before the performance as it will allow for general practice and establishment of communication with the accompanist, especially since close teamwork will enable faster reaction to any lapse of accuracy caused by performance tension.
