Hi, I'm Chloe.
Music is the love and passion of my being.
Each period of my life is marked by a composer most favoured at the time, on whose music I meditated on and on each occasion discovered a different aspect of my personal identity. Therefore, any response to questions about my past or present revolves around the great men and women who composed the brilliant scores that held my enraptured attention. Music is truly the medium through which I communicate with the world. The great Russian romantic, Sergei Rachmaninoff, remarked, “Music is enough for a lifetime, but a lifetime is not enough for music”. It is a cherished privilege to be born into a time where we have the immensity of the classical repertoire at our fingertips, to savour and relish. My musical literacy is truly the most treasured gift from my mother, for an existence without the profound and vivid engagement with music’s splendour is no longer an imaginable one. This is the reason I am an ardent supporter of music education for everyone; it is not only for the gifted and the prodigious, it is not simply for the enrichment of the young: music is for all. |
